A Unique Deal | Newport and New Inn Care Home Sale

Care Home Sale in South Wales – After having been approached by the owners of a chain of care homes in South Wales, M4 Property Consultants were instructed to bring two properties to market and enable the organisation to focus their efforts on a reduced number of larger care homes.

One of the properties was quickly sold to a residential developer leaving two more to be sold.

We considered a number of target markets and assessed demand from specialist care providers and residential developers for each of the properties.

Having had a number of individual offers on single properties, we then undertook a viewing of one of the properties with the Sisters of St Josephs Annecy.

We were aware of their impending move out of Llantarnam Abbey in Cwmbran and their requirements to find a new home. As such, we knew one care home wouldn’t meet their needs, so we offered them two!

With a combination of both former care homes we were confident that we could meet their requirements as that proved to be the case, successfully selling two care homes in Newport and New Inn to them.

This was a great result for all involved. Our client was delighted to have both care homes sold and the buyers were also very pleased with their new accommodation.

This sale demonstrated the importance of taking the individual property and its’ features into consideration, whilst assessing all options and opportunities for sale and proactively targeting the viable markets.

We know the care market is difficult at the moment and are keen to help owners of other care homes find viable exit options through our knowledge and contacts.
